Traveling to Mexico City..Tips?
Hi, I’m going to Mexico City probably somewhere in August of 2009, and I know i am going to buy my airfare tickets online and i am traveling alone to meet realitives. But this is the first time i am traveling alone to go there and what can I expect? Should i bring extra cash for baggage checking and things? And how do you know where to go for the terminal changes? I’m Nervous! lol Thank you

Well if you go to Mexico with Mexicana or American Airlines you will be arriving in Terminal 1
With Aeromexico or Continental Terminal 2, check which airline so you can tell your relatives where to pick you up, since is kind slow to transfer from one terminal to another.
The amount for the bags checked in can vary from $15 to $25 for each bag checked.
There is really nothing to worry about just take phone numbers in case you would get lost, and when you check in ask if you have any doubts.
Like what immigration forms will you need?, they serve a meal on board? if not is cheaper to buy something at the airport and take it on board. And if there are any sudden changes to your itinerary call your relatives right away. Security measures are always changing make sure to call ahead and ask for the permitted items on board.

Where are you flying in from? you’ll probably arrive at Terminal 1 (Gates F19 to H36-A) and after getting your bag and passing through Customs, hopefully, your relatives will be there to greet you.
If you arrive at Terminal 2, a shuttle train runs between the two terminals, transfer time is around 5 minutes.
